Fines

Palmerton Library issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.

When you check out a book or movie from the library, your are borrowing it--not renting it like BlockBuster (for those of us who remember BlockBuster). The only time you are charged money (a fine) is if the item is returned past the due date or lost.

Due to Covid-19 service changes, the library has been FINE FREE since March 14th. NO FINES WILL BE CHARGED THROUGH THE END OF 2020. We ask that you return items as close to the due date as possible.

OLD FINES: If you have fines from before March 14th, they are still on your account. At this time, you can still check out items even if you have fines. Give the library a call at 610-826-3424 or stop by to check on your account.

LOST ITEMS: If you lose a book or movie, your account will be charged a processing and replacement fee. Please call or stop by the library to work out payment arrangements.
