State Representative Doyle Heffley has expressed concerns over efforts by Senator Bob Casey and officials in Philadelphia, Bucks, and Centre counties to count ballots deemed illegal under state law. These actions are seen as attempts to reverse the election results and unseat Senator-elect Dave McCormick.

Rep. Heffley criticized Sen. Casey, stating, "Sen. Bob Casey has long positioned himself as an advocate for the rule of law and the sanctity of our judicial system. However, in his pursuit of political interests, he is now openly supporting efforts to break the law and undermine the democratic process."

Heffley highlighted issues in Bucks County where Democratic commissioners are pushing to count previously rejected ballots that did not meet legal requirements. He explained that these ballots were initially disqualified because they were not signed or dated properly or lacked a security envelope.

"The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has made it clear: mail-in ballots must be signed, dated, and in a secure envelope," Heffley stated. "The law exists to ensure that our elections are free, fair, and secure, and it must be upheld."

He emphasized that attempts to bypass these laws pose a threat to democracy's foundation.
