Rep. Joanne Stehr announced that $1.5 million in grants has been allocated for projects in the 107th District through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). The funding will support two key initiatives aimed at boosting local development.
"I am excited to hear this grant funding will benefit our communities in the 107th District," Stehr stated. She emphasized that the funding would aid in constructing a new mill next to Clark’s Feed Mill and developing a horse breeding facility at Blackstone Farms. "In my capacity as a state legislator, I am always working to secure the necessary funding for our area, and I appreciate everyone’s support in helping to secure these grants," she added.
The approved projects include $500,000 for Ralpho Township in Northumberland County to build a new feed mill adjacent to Clark’s Feed Mill, aiming to increase production capacity. Additionally, Pine Grove Borough in Schuylkill County will receive $1 million for creating a stallion and breeding facility on 69 acres near Blackstone Farms.
RACP is managed by the Office of the Budget and focuses on regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
