Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) and Sen. David Argall (R-Carbon/Schuylkill/Luzerne) will host a seminar on invasive insect species on Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m. The event, to be held at the Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Company located at 2454 State Route 534 in Albrightsville, will feature a state forester from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).

The seminar aims to inform residents about new insect species, diseases, and other threats impacting the health of local trees and forests.

“Every year, this is a great opportunity for interested residents to get an update on the insect species and certain threats that might affect our ecosystems,” said Heffley.

Registration for the event is not required. For more information, residents can call 610-377-6363.
