Borough of Orwigsburg issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.
The Orwigsburg Lion’s Annual Halloween Parade will be held on Wednesday, October 28th. There is no rain date.
As in the past, the lineup will take place on Margaret Avenue at 6:30 p.m. and the parade will move promptly at 7:00 p.m. Participating floats should approach Margaret Avenue from Route 443. Fire trucks should wait at the Orwigsburg Memorial building until 7:00 p.m. and then proceed to Margaret Avenue.
Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the Youth Group and Independent Group categories, respectively, with an additional Judge’s Grand Prize. All are welcomed!!!
Independent walkers need not register. However, all groups must register by calling Mike Swenson @ 570-617-6050 or email mike1swenson@gmail.com.
Group/float applications and details will be made available on http://www.orwigsburg.net/ over the next day or two.
We ask all those participating in and attending the parade to adhere to CDC COVID-19 safety protocols which include, but are not limited to: adequate social distancing, mask wear, and not participating if you are sick or at risk of having COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone who is suspected to have COVID-19
