Bowmanstown borough issued the following announcement on May 20.
As the weather begins to warm, just a friendly reminder that dogs are to remain on a leash while being walked and should be kept from private property of others unless expressly invited.
We have received notice of several incidents of dogs being walked with/without leash and being allowed to run onto private property, at times relieving themselves on property other than that of the owner.
Please respect the property of others in town and walk your dog within the public walkway or footpath. Should your dog defecate in/on the public right-of-way, please promptly clean it up
