Some students on Team Dolphin recently had an opportunity to build Elf traps in the STEAM lab in the hopes of catching an elf before Christmas.
Students enjoyed a reading of "How to Catch an Elf", reviewed elements of poetry including rhyme, onomatopoeia, and alliteration, and then worked cooperatively to design their Elf trap.
A variety of materials that have been donated by students in the building were utilized and the end result was a vast display of creative traps with one common goal. Each student or group presented their creation to their classmates, continuing the inspirations for new designs.
