North Pocono Middle School issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.
On October 22nd and 23rd, North Pocono Middle School and High School Students participated in Marywood University's annual "String Celebration". The festival included two days of rigorous rehearsing with clinicians Elizabeth Reed of the National String Project Consortium, Joel Schut of the University of Boulder Colorado, and Marywood University's own Evan Harger who conducts the Marywood University Orchestra.
At the end of the two day festival, the students performed a variety of music such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Overture to Nabucco, and La Folia Variations at the Sette LaVerghetta Performing Arts Center. Learning and performing these challenging works in two days was no small feat, and the North Pocono Music Department would like to congratulate these students for a magnificent performance on Saturday Night!
