North Pocono Middle School issued the following announcement on Aug. 14.

Student Chromebook Insurance

Grades 6 to 12

The district has chosen Worth Ave. Group as the vendor for families to purchase coverage for student assigned Chromebooks for the 2021-2022 school year. Students will keep their assigned Chromebook until they graduate from NPSD.  

Enrollment begins Monday, August 16 and ends on Monday September 6.  

The district highly encourages families to consider purchasing this coverage.

Please note, the cost for the policy is a yearly fee as listed on the reverse side of this letter.

Families who choose to not purchase this coverage are responsible for the full replacement cost of their specific device if the device incurs damage or is lost.  Replacement costs as listed:

  • Grades 7 to 10 - $300 replacement cost
  • Grades 6, 11 to 12 - $580 replacement cost

  • Please note the following to purchase a policy:
  • Student ID is their 5 digit number, not their student password.
  • Serial Number can be found on the back of the device.

Student Chromebook Distribution

  • Students in 7 thru 10 grade already have their assigned chromebooks. Families can start signing up for coverage on Monday, August 16..  
  • Students in 6 grade or any new Middle School student will receive their chromebook at the Middle School open house on Tuesday, August 24. Once received, you may sign up for coverage before the deadline of Sept. 6.
  • Students in 11 and 12 grade or any new High School student will receive their chromebook at the High School during their lunch period on the first day of school.  Once received, you may sign up for coverage before the deadline of Sept. 6.
