Rep. Doyle Heffley announced on March 12 that he and Sen. David Argall will host the annual Sportsmen’s and Outdoor Expo on Saturday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1.

The event, now in its twelfth year, is free to attend and aims to highlight the many outdoor recreational opportunities available in Carbon County and the Pocono Mountain region.

Heffley said, “Our area offers so many opportunities for getting outside. We’re coming off a cold winter, and this expo is a great opportunity to connect with vendors from local retailers and sportsmen’s clubs in Carbon County and surrounding areas.”

Nearly three dozen organizations are expected to participate, including the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, as well as several conservation, education, and outdoor recreation groups.

Argall said, “This event is a great opportunity for families to learn about the organizations dedicated to outdoor activities across our region. I encourage you to join us to learn more about what our community has to offer.”

For additional information about the expo or participating organizations, interested individuals can call 610-377-6363.
