Rep. Doyle Heffley and Sen. Dave Argall are organizing their annual Senior Citizens Expo, aimed at connecting local residents with a variety of businesses and service providers. The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company in Lehighton.

According to organizers, more than 50 exhibitors from the Carbon County area will participate, providing information about their programs and services for seniors. Attendees can also receive free vaccines during the expo, as well as enjoy lunch and enter for door prizes.

In addition to these offerings, Heffley and Argall are asking participants to bring non-perishable food items to donate to a local food bank.
