On Friday, Feb. 28, former Palmerton Area High School standout Zach Silfies’ current college team, the Rider Broncs, lost 27-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Western Carolina Catamounts.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Catamounts this season.

The Broncs’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 12 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Western Carolina Catamounts.
