Carbon County hosts scam prevention seminars for seniors

State Representative Doyle Heffley and State Senator Dave Argall will host two seminars aimed at educating senior citizens on how to avoid scams. The events are scheduled for February 18, 2025, in Carbon County.

The seminars will take place at the Lehighton Elderly Apartments at 10 a.m. and at Palmer House at 1 p.m. David P. Shallcross from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General will join Heffley and Argall to provide insights into the latest scam tactics targeting seniors.

“Senior citizens who reside in the Lehighton Elderly Apartments and Palmer House will learn how to avoid the latest scams,” according to an announcement by Rep. Doyle Heffley’s office.
